Stolen Laptops
Well my bag finally showed up.
I could tell immediately that something was wrong, it was WAY too light. Of course, both of my laptops were missing, along with my external USB harddrive and DVDs that held backups of my work.
I'm royally fucked.
Thanks Air Canada, your $9000 flight just cost a hell of a lot more.

Holy shit. That sucks!
I am still in shock. Sometimes we're really tested - I have to believe this is an exception - most people are honest and not assholes.
You're an idiot for checking it. Stupid ass.
Can you take laptops onboard planes anymore?
That sucks, man. It'd be wise to backup all your data online, it seems....
well.
I'll try to console you with a strong drink.
Hope they were insured! The BASTARDS!
Last time I went out of Heathrow, I was allowed 1 peice of carry on, and they were being a real dick about laptops.
One does tend to assume that checking in a bag will result in having that same bag returned to you, with everything still inside. But alas, there are some real dicks in this world.
The lady told me I had to check the bag because with 2 laptops + external HDs + power supplies + books it was over the weight limit for carry-on.
And yes I did assume that I would get the bag back in one piece.
I am still in the process of trying to make a claim. I haven't successfully gotten through to anyone yet. It's voicemail paradise over here.
